Over the course of a few years, some of the funds we had been sending across to Senya Beraku in Ghana went into creating a bespoke dining area for the kids.
And in 2025 we could finally announce it’s completion, and we now have canteen for the Christian Atsu School and Becky’s Foundation!
Having secured the extra land and all of the paperwork had been done – we had the first exciting pictures coming through. In May 2024, there were walls!
Having secured everything in place and finished up the walls, the roof struts went on in August 2024.
And then, in May 2025 – after everything was safe, secured, finished, installed and furnished- we got the first pictures of the children and staff cooking up a storm in the dining room!
We were so beyond excited for the children to this fantastic addition to the school: somewhere staff can properly prepare food and somewhere children can properly sit down and enjoy their meals outside of their learning and living areas. We were also beyond grateful to our fabulous donors and sponsors for making it all possible for the children.
