We are very excited to be looking to secure enough funds to add 4 more classrooms to the Christian Atsu School in Ghana! This means more students with access to education, securing brighter futures for the children in the community.
The Christian Atsu Education Centre Junior High School and Kindergarten was built by Arms Around The Child in partnership with our late Ambassador Christian Atsu who was a proud Ghanaian and passionate advocate of Education for All. Christian believed every child deserved the chance to learn regardless of their circumstances. He loved spending time with children and was constantly encouraging them with the importance of learning, reading and writing.
This wonderful news became a bittersweet moment for us. Christian’s birthday passed on 10th January, and the anniversary of the earthquake which sadly took his life is today – 6th February. We miss him always – his light and motivation was an inspiration. Christian was actively involved in the school build and was deeply proud of what it would mean for the community.
The school has quickly become one of the most sought-after options locally and demand continues to grow. The Christian Atsu Education Centre is known for:
