The campaign “Feed Your Soul” is asking restaurants to add an opt-out donation to each table’s bill for the week beginning Monday 9th November, World Orphan Week. In practice, this means simply adding the £2 donation through your till system. The donation will be automatically added to each table throughout the week. If diners wish for the amount to be removed, they can do so in the same way they can for an optional gratuity or service charge.

Arms Around The Child will register your participation and include your restaurant’s name and contact details on all press releases, the Arms Around The Child webpage and on all social media content relating to the campaign.

AATC will send you a batch of beautifully designed, subtle restaurant cards which can be placed on the tables and cards that can be given when the bill is presented. These briefly explain the campaign, thanks the diner for their donation and provides website details where they can find further information.

There are 2 ways of collecting the donations, either add the £2 to your till system so that it will appear on each table’s bill throughout the week beginning Monday 9th November and ending on Sunday 15th inclusive, or you can add the £2 donation manually to the bill.

Inform your staff about the campaign. The more they are able to promote your involvement, the more diners will be aware of your fantastic support for the 132 million orphans around the world. Information leaflets will be included with the table cards.

Throughout the week, Arms around The Child will keep you updated with the overall success of the campaign, who’s involved, which press and media outlets have covered the story and any opportunities for further press exposure. During this time, we will continue to update our website and social media content to keep up with your story.

At the end of the week, or at a time convenient for you, all we ask is that you inform us how much was raised and forward the money to Arms Around The Child via cheque.
