Narendra was born in a small village in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan in 1977. His family experienced very tough times during 1995-2000 and he was thankful for his education in his native village. He then travelled to Jaipur and graduated in higher studies followed with my Post Graduation in Anthropology, Post Graduate Diploma in Population Ecology (PGDPE equiv. to M. Phil., Demography), MBA in Health Care and Hospital Administration and registered (502/09) for Ph.D. at Department of Anthropology, University of Rajasthan.

“My exposure to the Development sector commenced with an organization named Shri Sugan Vishwakarma Charitable Trust (SSVCT), Jaipur with inspiration from Dr. S.L. Sharma. I facilitated women and men groups, adolescents groups, newly married couples on reproductive and child health related topics and linked them with the service provisions available. I worked as Master & Chief Master Trainer for Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Rajasthan for job trainings and field functionaries training programmes.

I joined NIRA (National Institute of Rural Affairs), Jaipur in 2005 as Project Manager for “Targeted Intervention Project among Migrants and Sex Worker in Karauli district” as for almost 3 years supported by RSACS (Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society), Jaipur. I have also coordinated the SRIJAN (Sexual & Reproductive Initiative for Joint Action Network) central secretariat: MAMTA and technically supported by RFSU, and SUMA network in Rajasthan.

My working experience with People Living with HIV (PLHIV) community in very close co-ordination with ART-Center, Medial Colleges & Hospitals, RSACS and partner organizations for increased support service provisions for PLHIV in the state as State Program / MIS Officer under Global Fund Project Round – 6 (PACT) Program in Rajasthan was amazing. PLHIV Network in Rajasthan has expanded in 32 districts out of 33 with a formal structure of DLN to make the reach out at grass root level during my tenure from Jan 2008 to Jul 2010. I professionally planned and vision the special intervention for addressing the recurrent need of children infected and affected with HIV in Jalore from day one, later on it became my passion.

I worked with TSU (Technical Support Unit)-UNFPA and RSACS (Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society), Department of Medical & Health Services, Jaipur as Mentor / Consultant for rapid scaling up of quality services through TI (Targeted Intervention) Projects under NACP – III in Rajasthan from Sep – Dec’10.

I worked with Keep a Child Alive (KCA) in 2011 as Country Representative for India. I currently work with Arms Around The Child and my major responsibilities are to provide direct supervision to AATC Projects in India, making sure that project goals and objectives are met on a timely basis, and that projects are in compliance with the AATC funding agreements.

I have also had opportunities to work with some long and short term Monitoring and Evaluation work: Socio-economic Impact Study of Outs teas of Bisalpur-Drinking Water and Irrigation Project-RUDIP, to evaluate the implementation of resettlement and rehabilitation plan for displacement by the Irrigation Department, Govt. of Rajasthan, Social Mapping of High Risk Groups in southern Rajasthan by RSACS, Employment assessment Study in “Lac Industry, Kota Doriya and Sports” by Employment Directorate, GOR, etc. Carried out some evaluation studies “Special Component Plan (SCP) for Scheduled Caste in India” conducted by National Commission for Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes, Government of India, Zonal Office, Jaipur, Service Delivery Point (SDP) Assessment Study carried out by Population Foundation of India (PFI) for ACT Program, Evaluation of Targeted Intervention Project Evaluation for 2009 – 10 by Uttarakhand SACS.
